Z-TrimTM Fresh Asparagus Quiche
– 1/2 cup onion - chopped
– 1 lb. asparagus
– 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms
– 1 cup(4 oz.) shredded swiss cheese
– 1 tablespoon flour
– 2 eggs
– 1 tablespoon Z-Trim
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

  1. Cut about 1 1/2 inch off bottom of asparagus, discard bottoms.
  2. Clean the rest of the asparagus and cut into 1 inch pieces on a diagonal.
  3. Saute asparagus, onion and mushrooms until the asparagus are a little tender. About 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, add eggs, Z-Trim, milk and flour, whip together with whisk or folk until well blended.
  5. Add cheese and mix together.
  6. Put all veggies into bottom of unbaked pie shell and then pour egg mixture over them.

Put into 450 degrees F. oven for only 12 minutes, then turn oven down to 300 degrees F. and bake for 30 minutes.
